Every January and February, more people than at any other time of year begin looking for ways to make money working from home. I'm not sure if it's because they spent too much money on Christmas gifts, or made a New Year's Resolution, or what, but it happens every year.
People who feature Work From Home Opportunities and Home Based BizOpps are very aware of this and are heavily advertising in hopes of snaring their share of the market.
Some of them are totally legitimate and are genuinely interested in helping you find what works for you. Yes, they are making a living off it, but when they connect you with something that enables you to also make a living from home, it is truly a win-win situation. There is nothing wrong with that.
Others couldn't care less whether they connect you with something helpful or not. As long as they make money off it, that's all they care about. Those are the people to avoid if you possible can.
Word to the wise from the voice of experience: Do Your Homework. As an old commercial used to say, "Investigate before you invest."
Don't be afraid to hold off. People who stick their big toes in the water before jumping in, so to speak, live longer.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Think about what you enjoy doing and what you detest doing.
What are your skills and what have you never been any good at doing?
